Mawlid un Nabi, Rahmatullil Alamin Conference 2016

Brick Lane Jamme Masjid welcomes all to this honourable gathering for the remembrance of the Blessed Mawlid (Birth) of the Final and Last Messenger of Allah, The Mercy to the Worlds, Muhammad Sallallaahu Alaihi wa Sallam.

Our Chief Guest Speaker: Shaykh Abdal Hakim Murad (7pm-9pm)

Bio: Abdal Hakim was educated at Cambridge, Al-Azhar and London universities. He is currently the Shaykh Zayed Lecturer of Islamic Studies in the Faculty of Divinity at Cambridge University, Director of Studies in Theology at Wolfson College and Dean of Cambridge Muslim College. He has published and contributed to numerous academic works on Islam, including as Director of the Sunna Project, and is a leading figure in inter-faith activity, notably as one of the signatories to the Common Word statement. He is well-known as a contributor to BBC Radio 4’s ‘Thought for the Day’.


Many other Ulama will be present. Talks will be in Bengali and English. Programme starts at 4pm and will conclude at 10pm.

There is separate seating arrangements for sisters.
